Building Stronger Communities Through Children
The Levy Love Foundation believes that every child in Middle Tennessee deserves access to quality education, creative expression, and a stable family environment. Founded by Jonathan and Rebecca Levy in 2014, our foundation provides targeted grants to schools, nonprofits, and community organizations that share our commitment to measurable, lasting impact. We are not a pass-through fund; every dollar is directed by our family with deep knowledge of Nashville's educational landscape and the specific challenges facing our community's most vulnerable children.
Our grantmaking philosophy is rooted in three core principles: invest early in a child's development, support the whole family ecosystem, and empower the teachers and mentors who show up every day. We conduct site visits to every grantee, require outcomes reporting, and maintain long-term partnerships that go well beyond a single check. When we fund a program, we fund the people behind it.
Where Your Investment Goes
Each of our programs addresses a critical pillar of child development in Middle Tennessee. Together, they form a comprehensive framework for creating lasting change.
Early Childhood Literacy
Funding classroom libraries, literacy coaches, and evidence-based reading curricula for children from birth through kindergarten. Over 4,800 children served to date with measurable gains in reading readiness scores across Davidson County.
After-School Arts
Supporting visual arts, theater, music, and creative writing programs that keep children engaged and learning after the school bell rings. Priority funding for Title I school zones where arts budgets have been cut.
Family Stability Fund
Emergency and ongoing grants for organizations providing housing assistance, family counseling, parenting workshops, and wraparound support services. A stable home is the foundation of a child's ability to learn.
Teacher Innovation Awards
Individual micro-grants for Metro Nashville Public Schools teachers to pilot creative classroom projects, purchase specialized materials, or attend professional development conferences. Recognizing the educators who go above and beyond.
Summer Learning Scholarships
Scholarships enabling low-income children to attend structured summer learning programs and enrichment academies, preventing the summer slide in reading and math that disproportionately affects underserved communities.
Parent Education Workshops
Grants for workshops empowering parents with literacy coaching techniques, positive discipline strategies, and school engagement skills. Bilingual programs serving Nashville's growing immigrant and refugee communities are strongly encouraged.

A Family's Commitment to Nashville
Jonathan & Rebecca Levy
Co-Founders
Jonathan is the CEO of Levy Commercial Properties and a third-generation Nashville business owner. Rebecca holds an MEd from Vanderbilt Peabody College and served on the Metro Nashville Public Schools board from 2009 to 2013.
The Levy Love Foundation was born in 2014 from a simple observation: Nashville's extraordinary growth was leaving too many children behind. Jonathan and Rebecca watched as their own children thrived in well-resourced schools while classrooms across the county lacked basic reading materials, arts programs were being cut, and families were struggling to stay housed in an increasingly expensive city.
Rather than writing large checks to national organizations, the Levys chose a different path: a hands-on family foundation that would work directly with Nashville's schools, nonprofits, and community leaders. Every grant decision is made personally by Jonathan and Rebecca, informed by site visits, teacher conversations, and data from the organizations they fund.
